If you’re interested in arts, architecture, urban planning and housing MAK is the place to be in Vienna. Today I had the opportunity to join an Austro-Chinese tour focusing on Josef Frank.
It was a great experience having Chinese and Austrian architects and urban planners exploring the works of one of the most important Viennese planners, architects and designers of the 20th century. From high rising walls and entrances to round windows that are not only windows but also windows towards the outer space; from walls with no other use than separating the busy stairways from living and comfort zones to doors all looking equally unimportant. The experience had become a merger of two or more ideas on how people design. It’s a surprisingly interesting exhibition to be explored at MAK – Vienna. For details click here.
